FPS was formed in 1937 by a group of eight Anglers who fished Blenheim Pits.
Soon the membership increased to thirty Anglers. Matches in those days were fished from 8am-8pm with time taken off to go home for Sunday lunch.
Over the years the club negotiated leases for a number of local waters many of which were later lost to building developments or given up due to difficulties in managing them.
Society finances eventally allowed us to purchase a lake in Sunbury which is now our most populat venue of which has been developed into two lakes (Sivyer's and Eric's). In 2009 the club managed to purchase fishing rights to half section of the river Thames back water known as "The Creek".
In 2011 Twickenham PS and Feltham PS merged to form a club called Feltham and Twickenham Piscatorial Society. Twicken PS brought with them their freehold fishery of a 3 acre lake on 17 acre of land known as Lyne Manor Lake.
